Duron Qel-Droma

Duron Qel-Droma was a Human Jedi Knight of the Old Republic and from a long legacy of Jedi Knights. The Qel-Droma bloodline ran strong in the Force. Duron Qel-Droma was the cousin of the infamous Jedi brothers Ulic Qel-Droma and Cay Qel-Droma . The weight of the Qel-Droma name did not come lightly and Duron had to overcome the obstacle of living down the sins of his family. But Duron Qel-Droma walked full in the Light and emerged from the Exar Kun's Sith War a strong Jedi Knight. When his cousin Cay died at the hands of Ulic, Cay's robes were passed down to Duron who wore the robes in memory of his fallen cousin.

In the aftermath of the war, during the reconstruction efforts, the Jedi began to receive reports of Jedi on backwater planets had gone missing; some were found with their bodies almost unrecognizable, mutilated. The investigation into the disappearances and deaths revelaed that monsterous beasts had emerged that preyed on the Jedi. These monsters, known as terentateks, were determined to be much to dangerous to ignore, and the Jedi Order began a mission of extermination, known as The Great Hunt. Teams of Jedi spread out across the galaxy to find these terentateks and kill them. Duron Qel-Droma teamed up with Jedi Knights Shaela Nur and Guun Han Saresh.

During their time together on the Great Hunt, Duron, Shaela, and Guun Han discovered they shared a special bond making them virtually unbeatable in the face of the threat form the terentateks. Duron possessed a special telepathic skill that allowed him to locate tertentateks and momentarily confuse the beasts while Shaela and Guun Han went in for the kill. The trio soon became the best hunters of the Order, and after a short while the Jedi Council declared the Great Hunt over. During the time they spent together on the hunt, Duron and Shaela found blossoming feelings for each other, feelings beyond those acceptable for Jedi companions. While Duron and Shaela liked to believe they were successful in keeping their feelings from being discovered by other Jedi, in reality the Guun Han Saresh and the Jedi Council were very aware of the Jedi's feelings for each other. However, as long as their feelings did not get in the way of their duties, the council was willing to let the matter go left unsaid.
